This army unit was recruited to serve in the army of the Russian Empire at the onset of the Great War, but the Russian Revolution stranded it in the hostile country. With the hopes to regain the independence for Czechoslovakia, the Legion needed to return home and had to fight its way through the Russian Civil War, fighting both the Bolsheviks and the Whites.
