TVS Apache RR 310 Highlights The price of the TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 has been increased by Rs 5,000. This is the price hike since its launch in January 2020. The flagship bike from TVS received a substantial update as part of its BS6 transition. Its design remains the same but the Apache RR 310 gets new colour and livery along with new features like a colour TFT screen and rider modes. Despite the BS6 transition, power and torque figures remain unchanged. Underpinnings remain the same as well save for premium Michelin Road 5 tyres. When it was launched, the bike was dearer by Rs 12,000 over the BS4 Apache RR 310's retail price of Rs 2.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). However, with the recent price hike, the gap has widened even further. Head to our price hike report here.   TVS Apache RR 310 Price: The TVS Apache RR 310 received its first price hike of Rs 5,000 since its launch in January 2020. The motorcycle now retails at Rs 2,45,000 (ex-showroom pan-India). The bike that was once plagued with engine vibes has been thoroughly reworked for 2020. While it remains cosmetically unchanged, the bike features a truckload of updates including some segment-first features, new tyres, and a tweaked motor. When the motorcycle was launched, these changes added a premium of Rs 12,000 to the BS4-compliant bike’s price tag. It’s available in two colours: Titanium Black and Racing Red.    TVS Apache RR 310 Features: The 2020 TVS Apache RR 310 features a full-colour TFT screen with information such as post-ride analytics, gear shift assist indicator, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle health information, vehicle status, and overview. Other notable features include the ability to accept and reject calls using the control cubes placed on the left-hand side switchgear. The Apache RR 310 also comes equipped with Glide Through Technology PLUS (GTTP) and a hazard switch.   TVS Apache RR 310 Engine: The Apache RR 310’s BS6-compliant 312.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor makes 34PS of power and 27.3Nm of peak torque (same as before). It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission which gets a slipper clutch. That said, the engine runs on two different power maps that are available through four ride modes (Rain, Urban, Sport, Track). The first map, which is meant for Rain and Urban, restricts the power output to 28.5PS, while the second map used for Sport and Track unleashes the full 34PS. Same goes for torque -- 25Nm and 27Nm.    TVS Apache RR 310 Suspension & Brakes: The TVS Apache RR 310 uses the same suspension setup as before -- an upside fork and a KYB-tuned rear monoshock. What's changed though is its damping characteristics. A 300mm front petal disc with radial caliper and a 240mm rear petal disc bring the bike to halt. While the Apache RR 310 retains its dual-channel ABS setup, its sensitivity and intrusiveness vary according to the four riding modes.  All said and done, the most crucial update in terms of hardware has to be the new tyre -- a set of Michelin Road 5 W-rated tyres as opposed to the Michelin Pilot Street rubber in the BS4 model.    TVS Apache RR 310 Rivals: In its segment, the BS6 TVS Apache RR 310 goes up against the KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300, and Benelli 302R. If we were to consider its price though, it sits quite close to the 390 Duke and Honda CB300R. However, the BS6-compliant versions of the Ninja 300, 302R and the CB300R are yet to be launched.
