Don't rely solely on property portals: While property portals provide access to many properties, the data on these platforms may be unreliable. Some agents use portals as lead magnets by listing properties that don't exist or no longer available. It is recommended to verify information with a local agent. 2. Choose a trusted agent: Working with one agent who has access to a shared database of properties can simplify the search process. This system, known as a multi-listing system (MLS), allows agents to provide access to listings from other agents on the coast. 3. Ensure the chosen agent has access to the entire market: Ask the agent if they can show listings from other agents as well. Some agents may only show their own listings to maximize their commissions. 4.
