@herrhaber907610 months ago As a french i have to say i am not really surprised. The comments are interesting and i believe that europeans (not just the french) are closer to russians i am surprised none of them mentioned cheese, which is one of the many reasons some of my friends who were living in moscow 10 years ago are now in paris:
i am even more surprised that the " general good feeling" russians had towards french (what i felt from my visit in 2013) has not changed with the current invasion of ukraine.
what did i see in this video? Smart, educated people that i would love to know better. But i' ve met too many interesting russians so i may be biased.
i pray for the end of the war in ukraine as i have friends in both countries

@joachimmahoudeaux861910 months ago As our history shows, were torn between many opposite concepts:
    - the free will for nations to decide what their own future should be (helping t - while at the same time colonizing overseas lands for their ressources
    - freedom as an individual is everything
    - but weve also enslaved and be the main nation in the slaves trade with the us
    - we love our american friends, who went to save us twice
    - but we also love our russian friends, with whom we had excellent relations in the past.
the thing i regret is that politics in both the us and russia consider europe, and specially france, as being their vassal, their toy.
i think that indeed weve done 2 big mistakes:
    - signing the maastricht treaty
    - join again otan after de gaulle made everything to set up our true independance by firing the gis
weve shown that we could care about people by intervening in many countries that asked us for, but each time the us or russias politicians have shown only interests in using us:
    - stealing our tech, killing our industry, specially civil nuclear plants one, airbus, and so on: the us
    - stealing our rights to have true free elections because our geostrategic position is a key: russia
we love each others as individuals, we love each others culture, cuisine (well not the murican one though hahaha) music, cinema, we are way smarter than our politicians that do not deserve us, we the peoples.
thanks for your awesome work, im 50 by the way and dont vote anymore since decades. We knew with my father since the early 90s that everything was fucked up.
    love from france, russia

@Cocowalla8 months ago Hi daniil, interesting video!
i have two suggestions of questions:
    - recently, many french politicians like former presidents or ministers - about russophobia in france: in fact, french people dont really have russophobia but dont care much about russian culture. Indeed, before the smo there was no soft power from russia to showcase apolitical, cultural aspects of the coutry. Language barrier is not an explanation since other coutries do so: japan with anime manga, usa with pop culture and music in these three countries the citizens generally only understand their own language, but even so there is a spread of culture (and lot of people know about french culture too) so my second question: why did russia(ns) not share their culture so much to try to make bonds / have a good influence in apolitical ways?
keep it up with the good work!
    from a french viewer

we must all work together to restore our continental european fraternity, it is about our survival to all.
