"The kids are all wrong, the story's all off" Possibly about how everyone in the village thought about the Sasuke situation is wrong, as they don't know/see it from Naruto's perspective
"This is supposed to match/the darkness that you felt/I never meant for you to fix yourself" Probably talking about Sasuke feeling how he could only walk in the darkness, and how Naruto wanted to be a good friend and bear the weight with him. Also how Naruto never really wanted Sasuke to change/fix himself, just to see things differently
"Some legends are told/some turn to dust or to gold" Legends of the previous Hokage are passed down and told, while Naruto and his generation got to see Hiruzen, their legend, die and pass on firsthand

"I could scream forever/we are the poisoned youth" Naruto had so many problems growing up and throughout his life, and his generation, like many before, had to grow up knowing hatred between people, carnage, war, death, and evil firsthand, as they've all suffered greatly cause of it
