I hope it’s helpful for you 🧡 Timestamps / Table of Contents: ✩ Intro: 0:00 ✩ Normal Bladder Habits, Capacity, & Function: 00:51 I do think these “norms” are helpful & I do use them as guidelines to help inform interventions in the clinic; however, I do *not* think that bladder retraining should be laser focused on replicating these norms. Instead, I think bladder retraining should be focused on you regaining control over your bladder, instead of your bladder constantly controlling you. → A healthy bladder should fill to ~1-2 cups of volume before it sends an urgent message to the brain → Voiding 6-8 times during waking hours (usually translates to ~1x/2-3 hours) is considered within normal limits. Bladder capacity does decrease with age, which means voiding frequency increases with age, but that should still translate to ~1x/2 hours → ~0-2 voids/night is considered normal pending on the source ✩ Keeping A Bladder Diary: 3:06 📖 My preferred bladder diary: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14oMQPA_e0B0sNlZxwsa7uxka5sz2cJz-yBdYEy9bwLc/edit?usp=sharing ✩ Outro: 9:17 Remember, materials and content available on this channel, Pelvic Empowerment, are intended as general information only, and should not be substituted for medical advice, prescription, diagnosis, or treatment.
