Meen Pollichathu is one Kerala Special Fish fry cooked with masala coated and roasted in Banana leaf using coconut oil.
Meen Pollichathu is traditionally also known as Karimeen Pollichathu as this recipe is traditionally made with Karimeen (Pearl spot fish). Here I have used Ayila meen variety.
To make this Kerala special Meen Pollichathu, place the fish in a wilted Banana leaf, bedded on spicy masala, and then wrap the entire fish and masala in a banana leaf and tie it with banana leaf string.
The distinct smells of the fish and the spicy masala is amazing and mouth watering
